Welcome to The Shopping Whisperer, a student-run non-profit online store built for a 1-week run (from the 21st - 27th November, 2008). :)
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for visiting and supporting this blogshop, and to let you guys know that we will not be updating anymore unless we get our hands on more stock with lower prices and more people on our team. ;)
This has been a short (and exhausting >.<) but very fulfilling run - but none of it would have been possible without the support of the blogosphere, the network of online shoppers, and our wonderful friends. :D Thank you! <3
And may our week-long pet project have inspired someone else out there to make a difference - however small - as well! :)
We are also very pleased to announce that we have decided to donate profits made to underprivileged children! :D (We will post up more information on this website after we have confirmed everything - and all payment is received!)
Just a final note that we wanted to share with our readers... :)
The world is in a recession now - and though everyone is feeling the impact of it, we can only imagine the impact that less privileged children will have to endure. Because the profit from this online store is very little, we have also decided to fork out some money from our own pocket to add to the sum total donated. :)
It may not be much - but it is still something.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us (even visiting this site and reading our very lengthy farewell note is appreciated! Hehe!), and take care! :)
We have learnt a lot from all of you, and hopefully we'll have done something more than just sell things by building this website, more than donating profits (and in the case of no profits, a portion of payment received) - beyond anything else, we seek to inspire. :)
